4th Grade News

Hello Fourth Grade Families,

We have a busy week in class as we finish our first trimester of 4th grade. Please take a moment to give your student a pat on the back and congratulate them on the progress you’ve already seen this year!
Goal for the Week:   Students chose their own writing goals this week.
Announcements:

Our Veteran’s Day Assembly is Friday, 11/9 at 9 am. Please email us the names (military branch and rank) of veterans from your family to include on the banner.  Please invite your veterans to attend our assembly and let us know if they will come!  We want to honor all veterans with a connection to our school.   Also, we would be happy to honor those currently serving!  Thanks so much.
End of 1st Trimester Grading Period: This week marks the end of 1st trimester grades, and will be the last chance to pass 1st trimester math fact tests and get a 3 in math fact fluency!
Parent/Teacher Conference Schedule: I have attached the DRAFT schedule to this week’s email. Please check the time you signed up, and if you have not yet chosen a time please email me with your preferred date/time.
Picture Retakes: Individual picture retakes are tomorrow, Tuesday November 6th.

This Week:

We’re working on 2-digit x 1-digit multiplication, writing narratives about discovering a cave, holding a mock election, tracking election results, learning about the US Government, and continuing to read Cinderalla stories to learn more about how setting changes a story!

With thanks,
