4th Grade News

Hello, Fourth Grade Families!

Goal for the Week:   “Finish my mystery book and start my packet” or “Finish my mystery book report packet”

Announcements

Harvest Celebration: Our class will be having a Harvest Celebration next Wednesday afternoon, October 31st. Parents are invited to join us after afternoon recess (the kids come back in at 1:45) for some spooky math games!

Mystery Book Reports: Students should be finished with their mystery books and working on their mystery book report packets – finished projects are due October 31st!

IXL Challenge: In order to meet our October challenge, each student in our class should average 5 completed (80+ Smart Score) 4th grade Multiplication IXL skills. Students selected a read-in with pillows and blankets for the reward if we reach our goal! Our class’s progress can be tracked by line graph at the bottom of the documents page.

This Week:

We’re completing our Energy Unit in science, learning about the United States Election process, practicing respectful sharing of ideas and opinions, creating fall oil pastel leaves, finishing math Topic 4 / starting Math Topic 5, and adding Sentence Fluency and Content to our color-coded writing revisions!

With thanks,
Emily Larson
