 Announcements

Harvest Celebration: Our class will be having a Harvest Celebration next Wednesday afternoon, October 31st. Parents are invited to join us after afternoon recess (the kids come back in at 1:45) for some spooky math games!

Mystery Book Reports: Students should be finished with their mystery books and working on their mystery book report packets – finished projects are due Wednesday, October 31st!

IXL Challenge: In order to meet our October challenge, each student in our class should average 5 completed (80+ Smart Score) 4th grade Multiplication IXL skills. Students selected a read-in with pillows and blankets for the reward if we reach our goal!

This Week:

We’re learning about the United States Election process, studying the branches and origin of the US Government, practicing respectful sharing of ideas and opinions, finishing math Topic 4 / starting Math Topic 5, exploring the ways a change in setting can change the entire story by reading cross-cultural Cinderellas, and learning about word choice, dialogue punctuation, and transitions in writing!

With thanks,
